Bob and Lisa Lackey, who own and operate the company, have made Cheboygan their home since 1998, but their family and the family business have been in Michigan since 1943. "We have rolls available in residential and commercial carpets to cover a whole house, basement, or business in one style. Our 70 vinyl remnants range in size from 12X9 to 12X22. Three colors of laminate flooring are available in stock for 99 cents per foot. We also have a large quantity of 12 inch self stick vinyl tiles and 2 foot carpet tiles, as well as installation supplies."

The company was started in Royal Oak, MI in 1943 by Bob`s father and grandfather. Bob started working in the family business immediately after high school, and in 1988 Bob and Lisa took over management and ownership.

"In 1988 we moved to Northern Michigan and opened as Northern Carpet Outlet," Bob said. "We had our retail store open until 2003, and we continued to do apartments and commercial work for the next three years. In the meantime, we rented out our retail space to other carpet businesses. When they moved out, we re-opened our retail store to focus on giving customers a lower cost option for floor covering."
